About Me

My connection with business started way back when I was about 7 years old. I used to set up pretend clothes shops in my bedroom and hold little cake sales out of my garage. I wish I had photos from back then, but I can still picture it all so clearly in my head.

I’ve always had a strong work ethic
something I think all entrepreneurs share. My first job was in a local hairdressers when I was 15 followed by being an assistant in a ladies only gym. These early jobs taught me so much. I’m honestly so grateful for all the experience and lessons they gave me at such a young age.

When I was 18, I set up my first business but even before that, I was always selling bits and pieces (shoes, clothes - anything I could list on Depop!)
My first business was as a Boxercise Instructor, with this, I managed to build a client base in both Leeds and Preston. Looking back, it was such a great experience and the first taste I had of earning and working for myself. I headed down to London to get qualified, came home and set up my own sessions in my garden with very little idea what I was doing.
That’s exactly what gave me the confidence I have today. It’s that attitude I want to share with others who are thinking about starting something of their own. Just start!

Eventually, I started focusing more on running Boxercise sessions in local schools. Meanwhile, I was attending Leeds Beckett University studying Events Management. It was during this time I started a baking business from my home kitchen, worked a couple of part-time jobs and took on freelance event work as an Event Manager to build networks, earn money and gain more skills in the business world.

Working in the Events Industry was a fabulous experience, it took me to places all over the UK and Europe. The Events Industry quickly taught me how to network effectively and how important it is for growth and knowledge

Once I had graduated in July 2023, I hung up my boxing gloves, retired from freelancing, and started to grow my baking business.

Now in 2025 I'm about to launch and grow Become, a business that helps others to find that path to entrepreneurship.

Welcome to Become.
